How each sculpture is made
Every step completed by hand
01 Design & Modelling Chiara develops the form in clay or digitally, refining proportions until the composition feels resolved.
02 Casting & Forming The form is cast or fabricated in the primary material — steel welded and ground, fiberglass hand-layered in mould.
03 Surface Preparation The surface is ground, sanded and primed through multiple stages until it achieves the required texture.
04 Finish Application Metallic pigments and patinating agents are hand-applied in layers, building depth and tonal complexity unique to each piece.
05 Sealing & Certification A UV-resistant lacquer is applied as the final protective coat. The piece is signed and its certificate of authenticity prepared.
Maintaining your piece
Care instructions
Dust gently Use a dry microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the surface finish.
Avoid direct water contact For stainless steel, light moisture is fine. For fiberglass pieces, avoid prolonged water exposure on the surface finish.
Avoid harsh chemicals Do not use bleach, acetone or solvent-based cleaners. A damp cloth with mild soap is all that is ever needed.
Stable, flat surface Place on a solid, level surface. For heavier stainless steel pieces, ensure the surface can support the weight.
Where it belongs
Placement guide
Living room On a console, sideboard or pedestal as a standalone focal point. Best against a plain wall — let the piece command the space.
Office or library On a desk, bookshelf, or credenza. The calm expression of figurative sculptures works especially well in focused work environments.
Entryway A sculpture in the entry sets the tone for the entire home. Stainless steel pieces are particularly striking in natural light near a door or window.
Outdoor terrace Stainless steel sculptures are fully outdoor-rated. Fiberglass pieces can be placed outdoors with appropriate shelter from rain.

The hand behind every piece

Chiara Rossetti

Art has always been my escape — a way to disconnect from the noise of the world and dive into a place of pure expression.

My art blends a love for traditional forms with a modern, abstract approach. I find inspiration everywhere — from the rich culture of my Italian heritage to the world around me.

When I am in my studio, time seems to fade. I become completely absorbed in the process — and it is that feeling I try to pass on to every collector who brings my work home.

The sculpture
This sculpture is produced as a numbered limited edition, supervised and approved by Chiara Rossetti. Each edition is strictly controlled in quantity — once the edition is sold out, no further examples will be produced. The edition number and total quantity are documented on the accompanying Certificate of Authenticity.
The precise dimensions are listed in the product description above. Sculpture dimensions and weights vary by piece — please refer to the specifications table on this page. If you need additional measurements (depth, base width, centre of gravity) for installation or shipping planning, contact us and we will provide exact technical data.
Yes. Every sculpture ships with a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity from Chiara Rossetti, confirming the title, edition number, material, dimensions, and year of production. The certificate is printed on archival paper and constitutes the sculpture's official provenance document.
Materials & finish
The material is specified in the product title and description — stainless steel, fiberglass, or bronze depending on the piece. Each material is chosen for its aesthetic quality and durability. Stainless steel pieces are polished or brushed to a museum standard finish. Fiberglass sculptures receive a multi-stage hand-finishing process. Bronze works are cast using the lost-wax method and hand-patinated. All materials are suitable for long-term indoor display.
Stainless steel and bronze sculptures are weather-resistant and suitable for covered outdoor spaces — a sheltered patio, loggia, or garden pavilion. Direct and prolonged exposure to rain, salt air, or UV without cover will affect the finish over time. Fiberglass sculptures are best kept indoors or under full cover outdoors. If you are planning an outdoor installation, contact us to discuss siting and protective treatment options.
For stainless steel: wipe with a soft, dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or smudges, use a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately — always wipe in the direction of the grain. Avoid abrasive cleaners. For fiberglass: dust lightly with a soft cloth; occasional wipe with a very lightly damp cloth is fine. Avoid solvents. For bronze: dust with a soft brush; apply a light coat of wax (e.g., Renaissance Wax) once or twice per year to protect the patina. Never use metal polish on patinated bronze.
Shipping & display
Every sculpture is custom-packaged using high-density foam inserts inside a double-walled wooden crate or reinforced corrugated box, depending on size and weight. The sculpture is wrapped in acid-free tissue and soft foam before crating. All shipments are fully insured for their purchase value and tracked end-to-end from our studio to your door.
Preparation and careful packaging takes 3–7 business days. Shipping then takes: USA, Canada, Europe, UK — 5–10 business days. Australia and New Zealand — 7–15 business days. Rest of the world — 10–20 business days. Larger or heavier sculptures may require freight delivery; we will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery window. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your sculpture ships.
Returns & guarantee
Sculptures are large, fragile, and expensive to ship safely, and are not eligible for returns under our standard policy. We encourage you to review all product photos carefully, check the dimensions against your space, and contact us with any questions before purchasing. We want you to be completely confident in your decision before ordering.
Every sculpture is fully insured for its purchase value during transit. If your sculpture arrives with visible damage — however minor — please photograph both the packaging and the sculpture before unpacking it fully, and contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We will file an insurance claim on your behalf and work swiftly towards a resolution, which may include replacement, restoration, or refund depending on the damage.
Commissions & custom orders
Yes — Chiara accepts a limited number of sculpture commissions each year. A commission can be a scaled version of an existing piece, a new concept developed with you, or an adaptation in a different material (e.g., bronze instead of stainless steel). Lead times are typically 8–16 weeks depending on complexity and material. Contact us at support@rossettiart.com to discuss availability and pricing.
